Curated by Claire Bushby, the 2016 Stations of the Cross exhibition featured fifteen newly commissioned works by leading and emerging Western Australian artists. Presented at Wesley Uniting Church, this annual exhibition invited each artist to respond to one of the traditional Stations of the Cross through their own cultural and personal lens. The result was a powerful collection of works exploring themes of life, death, and transformation. Engaging with the emotional and spiritual depth of the Easter narrative, the exhibition created space for reflection on universal human experiences and offered a compelling intersection of contemporary art and sacred storytelling.
